Activities
Both practical and emotional needs are met through working in a variety of settings, through sport activities, outdoor pursuits, and other activities, all with a focus on firstly identifying the relevant issues and then creating a unique ‘turnaround’ model on a one to one basis with a clear improvement outcome.
Our Mentors participate in a wide variety of activities with our young people. These include swimming, cycling, fishing, paddle boarding, climbing, and walking, as well as bushcraft activities up at the woods or archery.
For those who are sensory focused and enjoy the feeling of sand between their toes, or the feel of water, we often take trips to the beach, to the play parks, and to the indoor soft play areas.
Trips to the woods are also popular with our young people, where we have swings, a trampoline, and sand pit and for the older children, we have built a designated area to perform bushcraft and survival techniques.
We tailor all our activities for each individual’s specific needs and abilities with the main focus being on enjoyment.
